Defective inside warranty period
If battery is found to be defective in material, workmanship, or installation by iHybrid Battery during the warranty period, iHybrid Battery will issue a replacement based on the reported Diagnostic Trouble codes that relate to a HV or IMA Battery failure. This would also include the same installation service as originally provided by iHybrid Battery.
Batteries that were shipped to customers or third party installers are not eligible for a free installation by iHybrid Battery, and are not subject to reimbursement for labor charges.
Warranty Exclusions
Improper installations, except those done by iHybrid Battery Technicians or iHybrid Battery approved installers
Products stored for a period of thirty (30) days or more whether in the vehicle or out
Physical damage caused after the delivery of the battery to the customer Damages or defects that may have been caused by shipping, if accepted at delivery and not documented with the carrier
Removal, tampering, or damage to barcode of battery cells
Any modification or bypass of vehicle systems not in congruence with manufacturer specifications
Reinstallation of the HV battery into a different vehicle
Poor vehicle maintenance Vehicle conditions that may cause premature failure.
Warranty Exclusion for Unauthorized Repairs
Exclusion from Warranty Coverage: This warranty does not cover any repairs, replacements, or services carried out by any person or entity other than iHybrid Battery or an authorized service provider approved by iHybrid Battery.
Unauthorized Service or Repairs: Any attempt to repair or replace the product or any of its components by the customer or any unauthorized service provider will result in the immediate voiding of this warranty. iHybrid Battery will not be liable for any costs or damages incurred as a result of such unauthorized actions.
Reimbursement Policy: iHybrid Battery will not reimburse any costs incurred for repairs, replacements, or services performed by unauthorized service providers. Any claims for such reimbursements will be denied.
Reporting and Procedure: In the event of a product defect or malfunction, the customer must contact iHybrid Battery directly to report the issue and receive instructions on the appropriate course of action. Any deviation from this procedure, including seeking unauthorized repairs, will void the warranty.
Limitations
The maximum liability under this warranty is limited to the amount paid for the battery service. Any claims made under this warranty will not exceed the original service cost
Troubleshooting Clause:
If it is not immediately clear that the battery is malfunctioning, we can assist in troubleshooting to determine if the hybrid battery is the problem. This service can be done in cooperation with your mechanic at an hourly rate of $149. If it is ultimately determined that the battery was the sole source of the trouble, the troubleshooting fee will be waived unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Warranty is transferable
Warranty is transferable, within thirty (30) days of vehicle sale, with a copy of the bill of sale for the vehicle. Only one (1) transfer is allowable per battery. A copy of the bill of sale including the new registered owner’s name must be provided to iHybrid Battery within the 30 day period.
You may not resell the battery to another party separate from the vehicle and maintain the warranty.
