A refurbished hybrid battery is a used, tested battery with matched cells, reliable capacity, and up to a 1-year warranty.

Cylindrical

A cylindrical hybrid battery features round cells, enhancing heat dissipation and efficiency. It’s brand new with a 100,000 km or 3-year warranty.

Prismatic

A prismatic cell hybrid battery matches OEM shape and size, is third-party manufactured, and includes a 3-year or 100,000 km warranty.

Li-Ion

Typically, hybrid batteries use nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) technology; however, lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries represent a newer, more powerful option. Li-ion batteries are lighter, operate at higher voltages, and can effectively trick the computer into utilizing them more, resulting in enhanced efficiency and improved overall performance for your hybrid vehicle.

OEM hybrid batteries are purchased directly from Toyota dealerships at wholesale rates, with warranty coverage provided through Toyota.

Next, we balance the battery pack over a 36-hour period, ensuring optimal performance across all cells. After balancing, we group the modules based on capacity calculations, providing the best chance for longevity and reliability. This meticulous process enhances the overall lifespan of the refurbished battery, ensuring you get the most value.

Self Discharge Test

In the second step, we allow the battery to rest for 30 days before conducting further tests. This period ensures that it maintains its charge effectively, allowing us to verify that no cells exhibit abnormal self-discharge. This critical step confirms the reliability and longevity of the refurbished battery.

Selecting Best Modules

After the initial steps, we retain only the cells that have 85% or more of their original capacity, discarding any degraded cells. We ensure that the disposal of these cells is conducted in an environmentally friendly manner, aligning with our commitment to sustainability while providing high-quality refurbished batteries for our customers.

Our remanufacturing process involves multiple precise steps to ensure top quality. First, we deep-cycle each battery module to recover most of its capacity, maintaining an average discharge voltage of 7.5 volts. We optimize internal resistance and conduct rigorous insulation testing at 500 volts, ensuring reliable, high-performance batteries you can trust.

Remanufacturing a hybrid battery is similar to winemaking; it takes about 40 days to create one battery pack when done properly
